THINK BEFORE YOU ACT

Blind loyalty to a political party should not be mistaken for patriotism. When it overrides our ability to think critically, it becomes dangerous. We must not allow ourselves to be blinded in matters of judgment or stop questioning what is right.

We, as "Bengalis", once prided ourselves on the independence of our speech and media. But that independence has been compromised, replaced by emotionally driven narratives. When emotions replace logic and reason, we don't just risk our democracy — we surrender control of our own minds.

Loyalty should not be to a single party. Our loyalty must lie with truth, critical thinking, justice, conscience, and reason.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT ANY ONE POLITICAL ISSUE — IT’S JUST AN EXAMPLE!

In conclusion, I would say:

“Think before you act.”

When loyalty to a political party takes the place of critical thinking, it is no longer patriotism. It becomes a threat — a threat to truth, accountability, and the very foundation of democracy.
